The DOI Kernel Schema is an XML schema (also called DOI Kernel XML Schema). It specifies the DOI Kernel Metadata and all data elements and allowed values (data dictionary) of the metadata exchange schemas. It is maintained by the DOI Foundation.

It consists of two files available on the DOI web site:
